About Leeza

Leeza Jessie is a Multi-Passionate Artist with over 40 years of experience and devotion to working within the Creative Arts. She continues to engage and devote her life to her craft both collaboratively and as a solo artist expressing that which is most current and potent in her life.

With a background in all three of the creative arts, music continues to be the vehicle for her love of both dance and theatre.

Born in London, Leeza moved to Ireland as a child with her family and grew up near a village called Ballyvourney in the Gaeltacht on the county bounds between Cork and Kerry. At the age of 21 she moved to the UK and is currently based in Bristol where she lives with her family.

Recently after many years of collaboration with numerous bands, studio based projects and dance and theatre companies, the focus being on bodies of work that prioritise another’s vision Leeza has made the decision to focus on her own interdisciplinary artistic expression as a singer and songwriter, producer, dancer, actress and videographer.

Leeza trained at Middlesex University where she studied BA (Hons) in Performing Arts specialising in Dance and in 2014 completed a MMus in Songwriting at Bath Spa University.

An integral part of Leeza’s life is sharing her expertise and knowledge of the performing arts through teaching. In 2014 Leeza was introduced to Medicine Dance, a mindful movement and conscious dance practice founded by Fred & Colleen Sugerman and facilitates ongoing classes in Bristol for adults and children as well as attending online classes and in person immersions worldwide.
